Understand Your Metabolism
This article aims to give you a definition of metabolism and an understand of metabolic change which is reliable, clearing up any confusion you may have from the sheer amount of sometimes
contradictory information currently available regarding this subject.
When we lose weight or gain weight in a way that is significant to us, we may misguidedly attribute this weight change to metabolic changes.
There are scientific ways to increase the rate of metabolic change, and thus enable the body to burn more calories. Eating certain foods more frequently is one way to do this.
Yet another way to visibly lose weight is to sit in a steam room for a few hours.
The steam room method only indicates loss of water, so it is observable as a method of weight loss through increasing metabolism, but it is not permanent.
However, eating the correct foods for a healthier metabolism is a method that works on a long term basis.
The point to remember here is that some people mistake their own weight loss attempts as being related to metabolic change; and, as you can see with the steam room example, that isn't always the case.
Another Major Misconception: Low Fat Foods Food manufacturers love to pull in sales through the fad solution of
"LOW FAT" foods. However, truth be told, such foods cause people to oftenly to gain wait.
This is because fats are replaced by carbohydrates and proteins in such foods, which require to be burnt off or the body will convert them into fats for storage. Therefore we cannot expect to increase metabolism with foods with a ""LOW FAT"" logo alone.
This will categorically not work.
We can however plan a program of foods which are proven to help
increase metabolism. It's depressing to think of how confusing the ""metabolic mystery"" is to solve.
So many people each year try and fail and reinforce this by trying to take control once more of their health, fitness and wellbeing. Depressing as it may sound, in fact these articles will unveil the metabolic truths, without the hype of the profit seeking companies.
The failure is with the medical and nutritional sector as a whole, which has simply not provided people with the information that they need to know in order to speed up their metabolism. Given that the size of the nutritional field is and the amount of money being put into research and
enterprise in this field, it's time to take a look at the fact that information is flowing to people like us and
stop playing the game of "wait and see."
